Some of God's greatest mistakes
Post Category: humour, lighter vein, take-it-easy-dont-abuse-me-later
I haven't been able to procure a copy of the original book with this title, available on Alpha Centauri (while us humans have managed to go only till the moon; which we can see everynight, so i dont know what the big deal is). But I am sure these are the points it broadly covers.
Say you were God and this was the beginning of time. You have an obscenely large repository of powers and skills and could do almost anything to the universe, that pleased you. What would you do? Well, what did our God do...
He started off by creating huge star systems, and then planets, and then life on one (or more) of them. Additionally, he also took up the responsibility of scripting the story of each life-form he creates. When the life-forms don't stick to the script, he also has to punish them, from time-to-time. When they ask for something, he has to deliberate on whether they deserve it or not. When they argue over who he really is or what he is actually up to these days...well then he just lets them continue fighting.
Overall I'd call this a below average choice. Whats his idea? Why all the trouble to create a set of things which aren't sure why they exist or what their creator looks like?
And that's his other big mistake. He made a lot of things very quickly and forgot to supply basic information before throwing them callously onto various planets. Nobody knows what he looks like. Is he a he? Nobody knows. Are there more than one of his kind around? There are so many things that these creatures don't know. They are sure someone or something made them. And thats about it. Even this much, they believe because they cant digest the idea of having come into existence just like that....a highly improbable chemical reaction.
It is more probable that they are merely this God person's bad idea of passing time.
...to be contd.
